The race is on to find alternative accommodation for five families, due to be evicted from emergency accommodation in Dublin City centre.
A cross party vigil has been held outside the Lynam Hotel on OÂ’Connell Street this afternoon, urging the government to intervene.
Helen Vaughan filed this report from the scene.
Annette Courtney and her 18 month old daughter are among the residents due to be kicked out of their emergency accommodation in the Lynam Hotel next Monday.

A vigil was held outside the hotel this afternoon, including Councillor's from many different parties, urging the government to find the five families somewhere permanent to live.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Brendan Carr, says heÂ’s been told that alternative accommodation has been offered, but the families said itÂ’s not suitable.
Annette says without somewhere else, sheÂ’ll be on the streets.
