Vigil in Paris as gunmen hunt goes on

Armed police are searching houses and a forest 80 kilometres north east of Paris in the hunt for the gunmen suspected of shooting dead 12 people in a terror attack yesterday.

It's thought brothers - Cherif and Said Kouachi - held up a petrol station earlier.

Police have been seen searching homes and a forest.

2 more people have been arrested in connection with the attack. It brings to 9, the number of people in custody.

Earlier today a third police officer died in a shooting in the south of the French capital - it's also being treated as a terrorist act.

Meanwhile, another vigil is being held in central Paris tonight and the Eiffel Tower will dim its lights.

In Spain, police are investigating a suspicious parcel found at a station in Madrid.

El Mundo newspaper says the Nuevos Ministerios station's been evacuated.

Yesterday, Spain said it was tightening security after the terror attacks in Paris.
