The funeral of Vinnie Ryan in Dublin has heard that it's easy to take life for granted.
Armed gardaí patrolled outside the Church of the Holy Trinity in Donaghmede earlier as hundreds gathered for the 25 year old's funeral.
His partner and 6 week old baby daughter led the coffin into the church.

Fr Gerry Corcoran said that the violent nature of his death is a stark reminder not to take life for granted.
He said Vinnie was a man who didn't smoke, drink or do drugs, was witty and intelligent and valued friendship dearly.
He'll be buried in Fingal cemetery this afternoon.
