A Fine Gael Minister says he believes there will be a referendum on abortion in the coming years.
But Paschal Donohoe says that the 8th ammendment needs to be considered by a citizen's convention first.
It comes as the UN has criticised Ireland's abortion laws, saying that we need to legislate to make terminations available in the cases of rape, incest and fatal foetal abnormalities.
Paschal Donohoe says he thinks our abortion laws will be put to a public vote in the near future.
