A BBC executive is warning the broadcaster will have to cut its drama output unless the licence fee is increased.
Ben Stephenson has told the Radio Times the corporation is at 'tipping point' and can't keep making cuts to its services.
The new culture secretary, John Whittingdale, has previously described the licence fee as "worse than poll tax".
