St James's Hospital in Dublin has asked that patient showers and bathing be restricted due to a significant water leak on the campus.

Water pressure has been reduced in order to investigate the source of the leak.

Bottled water is being provided to patients.

A spokesperson for the hospital said there has been no impact on clinical services.
