The jobs minister has denied claims Ireland has squandered the networking opportunities from the Web Summit.

But Richard Bruton says the state's agencies work on a more low-profile basis to build leads and encourage investment.

The event's organiser Paddy Cosgrave has previously accused the state of not doing enough to generate new business from the summit.
