Politicians canvassing ahead of the election are being urged not to ignore people with disabilities.

Some 600 thousand people, – or 13 percent of the population,  live with a disability.

Disable Inequality, the campaign being launched today, says there'Â’s never been political will to tackle the issue.

Paralympic swimmer Ellen Keane describes being denied a primary medical cert, which would have given her a tax break on her adapted car;
