Whiplash award levels in Ireland are three times higher than in the UK and are contributing to the rising cost of motor insurance.
Consumers have been on the receiving end of rising policies in recent months - with the AA estimating they could jump 30 per cent by the end of the year.
There's been a huge increase in the cost of claims over the past couple of years - more and more people are seeking compensation through the courts - legal costs have increased - along with fraud levels.
