A white US police officer has been charged with murder over the shooting of a black motorist, following a traffic incident in South Carolina.

Footage has emerged of Michael Slager apparently firing eight shots at Walter Scott.

The 50-year-old is seen running away from the policeman at the time.

Speaking at a news conference a short while ago, his brother Anthony Scott says he just wants justice.
