Nominations to become the next Leader of the Labour Party have closed, with two candidates in the running.
Joan Burton and Alex White will spend the next six weeks convincing around 5,000 Labour members that they are the right person to lead the party into the next general election.
While Joan Burton wants to remain in power with Fine Gael, Alex White has refused to rule out going into government with Sinn Féin if he is elected Labour leader.
