Wine, beer, spirits and tobacco have been seized at Dublin Port.

They were found in two transit vans which arrived separately from France and Holyhead.

The vans were searched based on routine profiling and a 39 year old Polish man and a 35 year old Lithuanian man were questioned.

The seized goods have a total retail value of over six thousand euro - and are a potential loss to the Exchequer of over four thousand.
