786 litres of wine have been seized by revenue at Dublin Port.

It was found when officers stopped and searched a transit van which had arrived from France via Holyhead.

The red and white wine is worth €11,000 and represents an estimated potential loss to the Exchequer of €5,400.

Investigations are ongoing.
