A lottery winner has missed out on a 14 million dollar jackpot, after changing one number in his usual pick.

The Pharmacy owner from New Zealand changed his add on Powerball number at the last minute, and had he stuck with his normal number, he would have won 14 million New Zealand dollars, or 8 million euros.

Instead, Ron Chin won just one million dollars, so is still a millionaire, albeit a poorer one.

He plans to help out his family with the money.

Ron uses the odometers on his two cars to pick his lotto numbers.
