A Lidl in Cavan town sold the €17 million winning EuroMillions ticket for Friday's draw.
The quick pick was bought in the supermarket in Creighan outside Cavan Town on Friday, just hours before the draw took place.
The lucky winner hasn't come forward yet and the National Lottery is urging people in Cavan to check their tickets.
Eimear O’Sullivan, Corporate Affairs Director, Lidl Ireland says there's been huge excitement since they heard the news.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have sold the winning ticket to a Lidl customer, and just before Christmas too!
"We’re urging any Lidl customers who shopped with us on Friday to be sure to check their tickets as they could be in store for a very Happy Christmas this year!”
Ireland's newest millionaire is being advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
Friday's win marks the second Irish EuroMillions jackpot win of 2025 following the €250 million jackpot win in Cork city in June.
