Two young children and a woman have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in an apartment complex in Dublin.

The blaze broke out in The Bridge complex in Shankill this morning before half past seven.

The woman and two children, believed to be 2 and 3 years old, were rescued from the property by fire crews.

They are being treated for smoke inhalation at Tallaght Hospital.
