A man is being questioned after a serious assault in Dublin city centre yesterday.

A woman was violently attacked inside St Stephen's Green at 3:30pm.

She was taken to hospital where her condition is not yet known.

A man was arrested at the scene and he is being held at Pearse Street Garda Station.
