A woman in her 40s has died after being struck by a car in County Mayo overnight.
The crash happened at around 3am in the village of Breaffy, near Castlebar.
Her body was taken to Mayo General Hospital.
The N60 Castlebar to Claremorris road remains closed this morning pending a forensic examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
