Gardaí in Galway are investigating after a woman died following a dog attack.

It's understood the woman in her 60s was attacked by two Bull Mastiffs at a house near Moycullen late yesterday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried at University Hospital Galway this morning.
