A woman has been killed in traffic accident near Blarney Co Cork.

The woman, who was in her late twenties, was the only occupant of a car that crashed on the N20 at Clogheen Milcon at around 10.25 last night.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Cork University Hospital.

The road is currently closed to allow a Forensic Collision Investigation.
