A woman has died and a man is in a serious condition in hospital following a two car crash in Meath.
The 25 year old woman was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision at Blackwater Bridge in Enfield at about a quarter past nine last night.
A man in his 20's - the driver of the car - is receiving treatment at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for serious injuries.
While the driver of the second car -a woman in her 30's- was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar for non life-threatening injuries.
The road remains closed this morning to allow for a forensic examination and Gardaí are asking drivers to avoid the old N4.
