A woman in her mid-50s had died in a collision in Moycullen, Co Galway.
It happened at around 4.30 this morning on the N59 Galway Clifton Road when the car she was driving hit a wall.
A male passenger, aged in his early 50s, was not seriously injured.
The deceased woman was taken to University Hospital Galway where a post mortem will be carried out.
The road is currently closed for a forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
