Mother and baby were transferred to an Italian Coast Guard vessel and are doing well.
They're now on their way to the Port of Trapani in Sicily, to receive post natal care.
The LÉ Niamh is now transporting 369 ”‹”‹people to Palermo where it is expected to arrive alongside at 7 am.
