Woman in crash feared being burned alive

A survivor of the Cork aircrash in which 6 people were killed 3 years ago has told an inquest how she thought she would be burned alive.

Heather Eliot is one of 5 survivors whose's story was heard this morning at the opening of the inquest into the 6 deaths.

The Manx airlines plane crashed on the runway at Cork airport after 3 aborted attempts at landing in dense fog on February 10th 2011.

Survivors have also praised the speed and efficiency of the rescue operation by emergency services at Cork Airport.
