Rescue teams have reached a woman missing on Mangerton Mountain in Co Kerry since yesterday afternoon.
The woman had raised the alarm when she got lost out walking yesterday evening.
Rescue teams maintained phone contact with her throughout the night but were unable to reach her due to poor weather conditions.
She was located a short time ago and will now be medically assessed before deciding how best to bring her safely to the base of the mountain.
When she contacted rescue services yesterday they woman was said to be lost rather than injured, however conditions on the mountain were extremely cold over night with an extreme wind chill and there are concerns she may be suffering from hypothermia.
Damien Courtney is with Kerry Mountain Rescue, he says if necessary they will stretcher the woman to safety.
