A woman has been arrested in Limerick city following a drugs seizure.

Gardaí found drugs worth an estimated €29,000 during a search of a house in Caherdavin at around 8.30pm last night.

The drugs included cannabis herb with a street value of €20,000 and a quantity of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax tablets worth an estimated €9,000.

A woman in her late 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
