A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in Sligo.
The woman who is in her 50s was out walking when she was hit by a car on the Sligo Inner relief road just after 9 o'clock this morning.
She's been taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment, where her injuries are described as serious.
The female driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.
Gardai say traffic diversions in the area are in place while they investigate.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
