Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in County Donegal.

Officers were alerted to the discovery by ambulance personnel after they were called to apartment on William street, Raphoe at around 8pm last night.

The woman's body is still at the scene.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
