Investigations are underway after a woman's body was found at a hotel in Co Galway.
The discovery was made in a bedroom at the Connemara Lake Hotel at around 11.30am on Monday.
The body of the 64-year-old was taken to University Hospital Galway, where a post mortem is due to be carried out today.
The scene is being preserved awaiting an examination by gardaí and representatives of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA).
In a statement, the hotel confirms a guest "tragically passed away" over the weekend.
The hotel is closed until further notice while an investigation takes place.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased, their family and friends", it adds.
