Gardai are expected to launch a murder inquiry following the discovery of a woman's body in County Wicklow this afternoon.
The body - which was found at a house in Ashford this afternoon - is understood to be that of a woman in her forties.
A 38 year old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is being questioned at Wicklow Garda Station.
The Wicklow Coroner and the State Pathologist's Office have been notified.
Professor Marie Cassidy is expected at the scene shortly.
