Parts of Limerick and Shannon are on High Alert as the level in the river Shannon continues to rise.
The National Coordination Group has been meeting to discuss plans, in the event of further severe flooding.
Meanwhile, the Government is understood to be considering five million euro in emergency funding for those affected by flooding.
