A teenager in Austria is suing her parents for not removing photos of her as a baby on Facebook.

The 18 year old is seeking a court order for her parents to take down the pictures, which include her having her nappy changed and potty training.

In the first case of its kind in Austria, the teenager says the intimate pictures have made her life a misery.

The woman says she repeatedly asked her parents to remove the pictures, but her father is understood to be arguing that since he took the pictures, he has a right to publish them.

And solicitor with Media Lawyer Solicitors in Dublin Andrea Martin says there are grounds for similar cases in Ireland.
