The latest findings from the growing up in Ireland study has found young people have been left with long term scars of the recession.

The analysis of the report - carried out by the ESRI - has found evidence of mental health issues amongst teenagers - as a direct result of the economic crash.

It's also found that young people living in families under financial strain are more likely to have behaviour issues in school and suffer poor academic results.
