A number of young people have been hospitalised in Cork after taking a potent drug.

Emergency services were called to a house party on the south side of the city.

The party-goers were believed to have ingested 2CP - a psychoactive substance.

The HSE's addiction services is warning people about the dangers of consuming ‘party pills’.
