The latest seizure of dogs by Gardaí, highlights the importance of microchipping pets.

Gardai and the dog warden are attempting to reunite 32 stolen dogs with their owners after the animals were seized in Swords in Dublin yesterday.

24 Dachshunds, 4 pugs, 3 Chihuahuas and 1 Jack Russell were found during searches in the Stockhole area following a call in relation to unusual activity in the area.

The estimated monetary value of all the animals would be in excess of €120,000.

No one has been arrested yet and investigations are ongoing.
