Forget "Did you not put out the bins?", your in-laws and going on benders with your mates at the weekend - online video game Fortnite is now becoming an issue for couples in the UK.
Now if you're not too familiar with what the game is about, then here's a quick description:
'Fortnite is an online video game first released in 2017 and developed by Epic Games. It is available as separate software packages having different game modes. The game modes include Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative shooter-survival game for up to four players to fight off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with fortifications they can build, and Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game where up to 100 players fight in increasingly-smaller spaces to be the last person standing'

According to a new report from Divorce Online, a UK site offering information and services to people who are uncoupling, 200 of the divorce petitions filed in UK since the beginning of the year cited this game as the reason. This breaks down to roughly 5%.
Sounds crazy right? But we've already heard of children being admitted to rehab through addiction to the game - so it's definitely a cause for concern.
Dermot and Dave took a look at the epidemic and asked Today FM listeners if they had experienced anything similar. It seems the UK isn't alone with the like of Olivia who said "last week I had to put a ban on it", and another texter who experienced the same form of behaviour with the game Football Manager a few years back.
It's not just a game afterall...
