The Presidential Election is coming.
Friday the 26th of October is D-Day for Ireland's hopeful candidates, but with all the new contenders fighting for the Áras, we wanted somebody to talk to us in layman's terms.
Today FM News' Sean Defoe was at hand to help guide us through the story so far, with a beautifully crafted Game of Thrones themed piece of audio that the Targaryen's themselves would be proud of.
Have a listen:
Not a GOT fan? No problem at all - Sean gives us the lowdown on each of the individual candidates.
But with Michael D Higgins slaying them all in in the early poles, the political correspondent questions, "whether or not we need to have an election that's gonna cost €15 million to decide that when the incumbent seems so entrenched?". That's €15m out of our pockets.
Dermot and Dave also questioned if there was need for a president at all? And explored why millennials love 'Miggeldy Higens' so much.
Not one for selfies after games but you can't miss one with the president Michael D Higgins ☘☘ have a bit of that! pic.twitter.com/R2EeobeEZZ
