When it comes to tying the knot, some couples can get a bit OTT with their plans and end up going way over budget.

But what if money isn't too plentiful? Most people would apply for a loan from the bank, or ask a mate for a sub, yeah? Well these two lovers have taken people's generosity to the next level.

Dermot and Dave producer Maria Devereux is getting hitched next year and came across a page on Facebook called 'That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming', which is described as, 'A group where we can all come together to bond over cringe-worthy weddings and wedding related events. Juicy!

One of the threads on the platform is of a bride-to-be who cannot squeeze any more out of her hard working father, so instead of taking the normal route, her and her beau have opted to ask the public to help out via a GoFundMe page they setup. They even hope to go on honeymoon if they can raise enough money.
