Everything you thought you knew about this award-winning delicacy is a pure misconception.

We're huge fans of Clonakilty black pudding here in Today FM, and like most of you, for years we have been under the illusion that this brown ambrosia was made from pork. But it ain't.

We were left feeling likes swines on Dermot and Dave after show stalwart Jennifer Dollard (or 'Jen' as she goes by) revealed that the foodstuff is actually made from beef, cow blood and a few added extras. Not a pig in sight!

Dave had the pork angle sorted though as he played some eerie audio of sausages sounding like they were being tortured.

Dave's World is a mad aul spot at times, but never ceases to amaze!

We all have that one friend who just loves to drop random facts into conversations, just to prove they know stuff. For Dermot, Dave is that friend! #dermotanddave
