Billy Joel used to go walking in the middle of the night, the Mamas & the Papas had California ones (on a winter's day) and Susan Boyle had one about the times gone by.
Dreaming is something we all do from time to time and can be as harmless as a cute childhood memory or as sinister as death, murder or whatever crazy stuff one's imagination can fabricate - but what do they mean?
Dream expert Alison Byrne joined Dermot and Dave in studio this morning to delve a bit deeper into their purpose.

Alison explained how these visions are your brain's way of processing what has been going on in your life.
The lads (and Maria) discussed their own recurring dreams and helped some of our listeners get to the bottom of their own enigmas,
Sarah Jane - "I always dream about having a baby. I don't have a baby"
Anon - "I'm chewing gum but it keeps getting bigger and bigger...I'm not choking and I'm very frightened"
Thankfully, Alison explained the meaning behind a dream I used to have on a regular basis - the 'teeth falling out' mystery.
She also told why, "nightmares are your friend". Really.
Check Alison out on her website alisonbyrnehealing.com where she will be doing an online course on 3 easy steps to help you interpret dreams.
