As the Taoiseach said last Friday, the summer isn't over yet.
And, although we are getting used of the new normal, that doesn't mean we can't have fun.
Colaiste U.I.S.C.E. mixes adventure sports with learning Irish in an exciting and extremely successful way. Located near Belmullet, students are submerged in the Irish language for the duration of their Easter or summer course.
Students can sail, windsurf, surf, canoe, do archery, swim, kayak and climb. Taking Irish out of the classroom gives children a new perspective of the language. In this way, Irish itself is being developed by being associated with modern, exciting adventure sports.
Due to Covid-19, they are unable to hold their annual summer programme, leaving tens of thousands of children without the opportunity to lean Irish this summer.
However staff at the college have decided to move their course online, which will accumulate in a Chéilí over Zoom at the end.
Bean an tí Fidelma Uí Pháidín from Colaiste UISCE spoke to Dermot & Dave this morning about how the camp will work.
