I don't know if many cover models have come from county Clare, but fitness instructor/model Peter Barron has certainly broken the mould.
After a trip to Dubai in 2014, the Shannon native fell in love with the City of Gold and decided to move over. Little did he know that 4 years later he'd be the face of the Middle East edition of the world's largest men's magazine brand.
Chatting on Dermot and Dave, the former medic, and semi-professional footballer, told us about his incredible journey in reaching this condition:
Not jealous at all, nope...not one bit.
He revealed an ironic story about how after having chest surgery years ago, the nurse, who was lovely, joked, "the recovery will be fine but you'll never be on the cover of a magazine". This sentence lit a fire within him but he "didn't know what cover I was targeting".
His dad is also a huge inspiration and always told him, "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard". That's some solid advice right there Peter's dad!
Peter doesn't know what the future holds, but he and his girlfriend (yes - he's taken) have started some projects on YouTube so we expect the clicks to be through the roof.
