There's one thing for sure, you won't meet too many speed skiers in Ireland. Especially if the heatwaves keep a-comin'.
In fact, Meath man Karl O'Dwyer went down in the history books by becoming the first Irishman to ever compete in the FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) World Cup.
Here's an idea of what it's like:
Karl, who has been living in Canada for the past few years, was on the phone to Dermot and Dave this morning to chat about his journey from learning to ski on the slopes of Kilternan Ski Club, South Dublin, to now racing against the best in the world.
Having rocketed to speeds of 160kph in his latest Speed 2 competition, he tells the lads how he wants to break the 200kph mark next year, and maybe even go 220kph!
Not bad for a man who doesn't think of himself as a daredevil.
The lads also learned how he took the sport up through curiosity and a bit of craic and why he may need to put on a bit of timber before next year's tournament. Karl won't let himself go though, "I'm not gonna get all fat just to roll down the hill a bit faster".
Karl is also looking for sponsors, so if you (or someone you may know) would like to help him out on his journey and be a part of the 'fastest man in Ireland' enterprise - here's your chance.
Godspeed you crazy man you.
