It's a great time for the Irish film and TV industry.

Normal People is the biggest TV show in the world right now, Amazon Prime have just launched Dating Amber which is based in Dublin and now Disney is about to release one of their big summer blockbusters, written by Irish man Eoin Colfer.

Artemis Fowl is a 12-year-old genius and a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds. He searches for his father, who has mysteriously disappeared, and comes into conflict with the hidden world of the fairies.

The film stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Josh Gad, Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Colin Farrell, and Judi Dench.

This morning Dermot & Dave spoke to Eoin Colfer, the Irish man who wrote the book the movie is based off.
