"This is just an exciting thing"
So its official, Metallica will be tearing Slane a new one on June 8th next year. Rockers unite!
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, the owner of Slane Castle Lord Henry Mountcharles couldn't hold back his excitement at the announcement, not only because he's a lover of rock, but because he can finally talk about it after it being "in the works for some time".
The festival organiser revealed that "after Guns N' Roses it was an absolute natural choice" and how they "really wanted to get back into Slane's rock'n roll roots". It doesn't get much heavier than Metallica!
