Karen's life changed when she decided; "I'm gonna make myself happy"

At the age of 23, Karen Dwyer had to rebuild her life after her appearance on the Channel 4 show 'Make me a Million' left her publically humiliated.

After moving back home to Ireland and settling into her new life, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 31, which spurred her on to change her mindset and help others do the same.

Karen tells Dermot and Dave all about her unbelievable story - from being shafted by a business partner who "found a more lucrative friend in a millionaire mentor" (she lost out in a cut of a £13.4m deal) to depression, to beating MS through the power of positive thinking.

When asked how she first noticed there was something up with her, Karen says, "a few months after having my second daughter Sadie, I started getting this numbness up my hand...then it started growing up my arm". It continued to spread and that was when she knew she needed help.

With her liver count seven times higher than it should have been and her relationship with her fiancé over, the Malahide native couldn't remember what it was like to be happy, but thankfully, a fateful outing to the Pendulum Summit changed her outlook on life.

In 2018, Karen setup 'MS to Success' - a 12-week programme designed around her first-hand experience with the condition.

It aims to invigorate people to find the magic in their lives and create the lives they really want and deserve.

Karen describes it as a, "360 support roadmap of empowerment".
