"It came out of the blue. Like a lot of people"
In January, Ruth Barry was diagnosed with hormonal receptive breast cancer after a fateful tip in her car urged her to get a lump checked out by her doctor.
Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, the Dublin lady tells us a very common symptom she had overlooked, "I was feeling very tired and I just kinda put it down to being a mammy and being a partner and work".
Ruth then opens up about what the feeling was like on receiving the news nobody wants to hear and why she had to stay strong:

Ruth finished up her treatment a couple of weeks ago.
