He didn't want it that way

OK, so we're all aware that Ryan Gosling is an award-winning actor and fine chunk of Canadian beef, but did you know that he could have had a shot at being in one of the world's most famous bands?

Back in his 'Mickey Mouse Club' days, Gozzers lived in the same apartment complex as a guy called AJ (AJ McLean that is) who was a member of the newly formed group the Backstreet Boys. AJ had a feeling Ryan would be a great addition to their team but the young Gosling's vision didn't see a future for them.
