Monday, January 14th 2019 will go down in broadcasting history as Dermot and Dave's new Half Nine Howaya segment was officially kicked off.
If you're feeling a bit bewildered as to what this newfangled section of the show is, then simply click on this blue writing to find out it's history.
In a nutshell: Dermot Whelan had an epiphany recently (he gets them quite a bit), where he envisaged the word 'howaya' being the only lyric to every song.
Seeing as he's the go-getter he is, he always wants to make his dreams a reality...so he invented a music quiz to be played at 9:30am each morning on the show.
Somebody sends in audio of them singing a well known song - the only catch is that they have replace all the lyrics with the word 'howaya'. And it's not as easy as you'd think.
Anyone who has their effort chosen to play out on air gets themselves a Dermot and Dave Ah Sure Lookit t-shirt and a pair of the much sought-after Cheese & Crackers socks.
Stephen Flanagan was the first listener to ever feature on it, so let's hear how he did. But would you have guessed it?
