It's hard to believe that it has been nearly four and a half years since Hozier blew us all away on releasing his self-titled debut album, the incredible platinum-selling Hozier.

The man From Eden (aka. Wicklow - the Garden of Ireland) again wowed the world last September with his four-track EP Nina Cried Power and the title track of the same name featuring the legendary Mavis Staples.

That production was a little taster of what to expect from his second album, Wasteland, Baby!, which is out on March 1st.

To mark the occasion, Hozier performed a World Exclusive of  'Almost (Sweet Music)', the fourth single from the album, on Today FM's Dermot and Dave.

But that's not all, as the 28-year-old treated the nation to a live version of 'Movement' and gave us some insight into his latest work.

When asked about where the title came from, he says: "wasteland is a nice word for our times". Deep as always, but there's a lot of love attached - hence the 'Baby!' part.

He also gives truth to a rumour about him being shacked up in a house in the countryside, shouting his head off, to help record the new material, explains why we should all, "violate the expectation of decency" (have the craic basically) and reveals why he's glad not to have become famous in his teens.

Hozier plays Cork and Belfast this June with more UK and European tour dates later in the year after a 26-date run of shows in the US, and a trip to the southern hemisphere.
